About this Event

The Cambodian American Literary Arts Association (CALAA) is hosting a Community Dialogue to discuss Documenting Solidarity.

Learn more about the 1978 International Rescue Committee ad entitled "Black Americans Urge Admission of the Indochinese Refugees" in The New York Times, which documents the support of major Black leaders for the admittance of Southeast Asian refugees into the United States. Scholar, Sokunthary Svay, will discuss circumstances surrounding its finding and its significance in the struggle for justice for Black Lives. CALAA Board President, Sanary Phen, will lead the conversation.

This dialogue is also supported by the National Cambodian American Organization.
